  • Take Hwy 84 to Blanco Basin Rd
  • Turn left onto Blanco Basin Rd
  • Drive 2.3 miles then turn right on Blue Creek Rd
  • Drive .7 miles to the forest service rd.  Just before the gate there is a turn around area, park here if you can find a spot.
  • Go 1.7 miles from the gate to a fork in the road veer left here
  • It is 2.1 miles from the fork to the river crossing.  Mile 3.8
  • Come to a complete stop and put the rzr in 4×4 and low.  Cross the river.  Sometimes I stop in the river and take a cool photo
  • Go 2.1 miles.  At this point you’ll come across a great lunch spot it’s a big grassy meadow with a view of square top( that’s the mountain that looks like a square) Mile 5.9
  • 10.1 miles from the river crossing is a gravel road, turn left.  Mile 16
  • Go 3.7 miles.  You made it to buckles lake and the V-rock trail head.  The lake is more like a pond or puddle.  The big rock wall that looks like a V is V rock.  Makes sense, I guess.  There is a pit toilet at this parking lot. Now turn around and come back. Mile 19.7
