Blanco Basin 4×4 Trail Directions
- Take Hwy 84 to Blanco Basin Rd
- Turn left onto Blanco Basin Rd
- Drive 2.3 miles then turn right on Blue Creek Rd
- Drive .7 miles to the forest service rd. Just before the gate there is a turn around area, park here if you can find a spot.
- Go 1.7 miles from the gate to a fork in the road veer left here
- It is 2.1 miles from the fork to the river crossing. Mile 3.8
- Come to a complete stop and put the rzr in 4×4 and low. Cross the river. Sometimes I stop in the river and take a cool photo
- Go 2.1 miles. At this point you’ll come across a great lunch spot it’s a big grassy meadow with a view of square top( that’s the mountain that looks like a square) Mile 5.9
- 10.1 miles from the river crossing is a gravel road, turn left. Mile 16
- Go 3.7 miles. You made it to buckles lake and the V-rock trail head. The lake is more like a pond or puddle. The big rock wall that looks like a V is V rock. Makes sense, I guess. There is a pit toilet at this parking lot. Now turn around and come back. Mile 19.7
